This policy explains how BeeSelected collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use our website, book a free career call, or work with us as a client. BeeSelected is a business owned and operated by Beeselected in India. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean BeeSelected, and “you” means anyone who visits our website or uses our services.
We will only use your information as described here. If you have any questions, write to us at hello@beeselected.com.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to understand your goals and support your job search.
- When you contact us or book a free call: your name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile (if you choose to share it), what you are looking for, and anything you write in your message.
- When you work with us: your resume, work history, education, skills, current and expected salary, target roles and locations, interview schedules, and feedback from your practice sessions and interviews.
- When we set up job-portal profiles for you: we create new profiles on job portals using an alternate email address you provide. We store the login details for these profiles securely, with access limited to the people working on your search. We do not ask for or use the passwords to your existing personal accounts.
- When you message us: the content of emails, WhatsApp chats and other messages you send us.
We do not ask for government ID documents, offer letters or payslips, and we do not record calls or mock interviews.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- reply to your enquiry and arrange your free career call;
- match you with a mentor who suits your field and goals;
- prepare and improve your resume and professional profiles;
- find suitable roles and, with your approval, apply or refer you to them;
- prepare you for interviews and support you through offers and negotiation;
- keep in touch about your engagement and follow up on your progress;
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We use your information only for these purposes. We do not sell it, and we do not send you marketing messages without your consent.
Sharing your information
Your information is seen only by the people who need it to support you:
- Your mentor and our operations team. Our mentors and staff are bound by confidentiality agreements and can see only what they need for your search.
- Employers, recruiters and job portals. When you approve a role, we share your resume and relevant profile details with that employer, recruiter or job portal, so they can consider your application or referral. Once shared, their own privacy policies apply.
- Service providers. We use trusted providers for things like website hosting, email, messaging and secure storage. They process your information only on our instructions and must keep it secure.
- Where the law requires it. We may share information if a court, regulator or other authority lawfully requires us to.
We will only publish a testimonial or story with your written consent, and we will remove it whenever you ask.
Cookies and tracking
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website, for example which pages are visited, how long people stay and how they found us. Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager (the tool we use to manage these measurement tags), only run, and only set cookies, after you choose “Accept all” or switch Analytics on in our cookie banner. Google processes this information for us. We use it only to improve our website, and we do not use advertising cookies.
We save your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, so we don’t ask again. You can change it at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; turning Analytics off stops it and removes its cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits.
Data retention
We keep your information only as long as we need it:
- Enquiries and free calls: up to 6 months after our last contact, if you do not go on to work with us.
- Clients: for the length of your engagement, then up to 12 months after it ends, so we can answer questions and support any later offers from that engagement.
- Job-portal profiles we created for you: we stop using them when your engagement ends, and delete the login details we hold. You can keep the profiles if you wish.
- Records we must keep by law, such as invoices and tax records, for the period the law requires.
After that, we delete your information or make it anonymous. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see “Your rights”).
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a summary of the personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update information that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your information when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it;
- withdraw your consent to how we use your information. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew it, but we may no longer be able to support your job search;
- let someone you nominate exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.
To make a request, email hello@beeselected.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond as soon as we can, and within 90 days at the latest.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access:
- Secure storage. Your data is encrypted and stored securely using industry-standard security measures.
- Limited access. Only authorised team members can access your data, and only when they need it to support you.
- Regular reviews. We regularly review and update our security practices to keep your information safe.
No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Children
Our services are meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we will tell you directly before it takes effect.

For any question or complaint about your personal information, contact our Grievance Officer:

We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 90 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may take your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.
